HO Ops Session

Details: The session is Titled “Outta the Box” and will be utilizing the newly created switch list rolling stock boxes we have recently created and presented to club members at the last meeting. Yes, I am still working on these and I do expect some hiccups; however, I guarantee a very active session including use of the short line. A How To seminar will be hosted by Keith on the new DC walk around controller for the short line. Our Yard Master Bob Ellis will be working the Truckee yard assembling small local through freights, turns and unit trains. I have need for a new yard master for the Roseville yard who will perform the same functions as Truckee. Numerous short and easy switch lists will be available to accommodate many volunteers.
I also plan to keep the mainlines separated (good luck) and utilize our hidden staging more than in the past. Gregory and Wayne, please bring in your passenger trains and plan to share the mainline and run long consists out of the hidden staging for layout variety, especially in the AM session.

We are also promoting this Op session as an Open House! The 10 AM to Noon session will be a great opportunity to bring friends or family who are interested in either trains, or just what the heck you do at the club house for hours. 🙂 Please contact your invitees now to schedule the day. (I do not recommend the afternoon session as quite frankly, not sure anyone will be there if no one shows up.)
