On Saturday 21st Sept, we participated in the big Rocklin event called Hot Chili and Cool Cars. Many thousands of people attended and we showed off the 150th transcontinental railroad layout that we did for the Rocklin and Roseville Historical Societies earlier in the year. We participated to help Rocklin do tours of the Roundhouse area to help promote the New Southern Pacific Museum being set up at the Original Roundhouse site. The Museum is still years away but is essential to help retain the railroad heritage in the Rocklin/Roseville area.
The layout proved to be a magnet at the event. Kids came running over constantly.
