Problem Description:

The hand painted loco needs redoing with a proper airbrush

This is not a Handpainted engine at all. It was Airbrushed.
Over use of Dullcote.
I will replace the window glazing with low cost/free replacement, I will over spray a santin finish to see if it will refresh the finish.

Would be a great locomotive to practice weathering on. It’s supposed to represent an older loco in an older paint scheme.
