Detailed Description (What):
Convert to #6 throughout. rework diesel facility and access to norden and other businesses.
Add 3″ to front and add a passing siding to the other main.
Reason(s) (Why):
Current yard is big enough, but #4 switches are problematic for reliable operation. Current diesel facilities is larger than needed without room for details like fueling and sanding.
Notes:
PLACED ON HOLD UNTIL LEASE ISSUES ARE RESOLVED.
If rework of lower yard is approved, reworking this to make it more operable is critical.
Thought put into purpose of each track critical.
Also, if a couple of the roundhouse garden tracks from below are removed, could expand this yard just a bit by angling by the diesel facilities. This would make a lot more space for minimal effort.
