Problem Description:

Side rods binding on rear drivers. Front drivers not turning or turning intermittently while rear drivers turn. DCC not installed and tender is not suitable for SP Operation as it is a coal tender.

Solution Description/Service Details:

adjusted side rods on rear drivers. Front truck worm drive was missing a bushing and was not installed in the gear drive housing. I was able to obtain a replacement and installed the worm into the gear box. I installed the a Digitrax DCC Sound decoder with MRC speaker in the Bachmann Vanderbilt oil tender provided from the club stock. The original coal tender was converted to oil using sheet styrene to cover the coal bunker and I installed a oil fill port. Tender was returned to the club stock storage under the switching layout.
