Detailed Description (What):

Arduino based train speed sensor. It would readout on a digital LCD the train ho scale speed in mph. as as the locomotive passes by two IR detectors located in close proximity to the tracks on the main line. The sensors could be housed in small trackside shed or switch box.

Reason(s) (Why):

It would be helpful in determining consists and deter members from running their trains at a unrealistic speed. A audibal alarm could warn members when there locomotive exceeded this maximum speed.
