Lay carpet with thick padding (or thick rubber floor pads) in openings inside layouts where operators stand.

Reason(s) (Why):

Improves comfort when standing for periods of time operating trains.

Notes:

Maybe get a carpet store to donate? Decision postponed until after move decision.
