Detailed Description (What):

Concrete pad with Scale details in between track along with scale shack.
Somewhere in the yard track. (outbound track)

Reason(s) (Why):

Cars are weighed before train leaves to ensure they are not overweight and the train has proper power to pull it.
this would add an additional operational wrinkle to yard ops.

PLACED ON HOLD UNTIL LEASE ISSUES ARE RESOLVED.

This is Bob Young’s proposal and he would like to work on it.

Committee has verbally approved it in past, but held off due to rework of yard.

Hold off this until yard reworked.

Should probably do Roseville Yard first since it is getting Rebuild first. Consider Truckee once it’s rebuild proposal is worked through.

If approved, exact location would need to be worked out with Yard/Engine facilities group.
